Granting with Data: Discovering Local and Statewide Data to Corroborate Need
Join the staff from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's Bureau of Workforce Information and Technical Support (BWITS) for an interactive workshop designed to help fill the grant writer's toolkit. The BWITS staff will share resources on economic, demographic, educational, and other data that can be used to provide local background information and demonstrate need to assist in fulfilling grant requirements.
The staff will demonstrate how to access and manipulate the data on the DWD website WisConomy. Additional data sources from the Census Bureau, Dept of Labor, and other national sources will be identified. Staff will provide examples of how the data can be used to ensure a successful grant proposal.
