Webinar Description:

Engaging your colleagues as a grant team is a key to long-term grant seeking success. Focusing on grant team happiness and velocity using the Scrum framework will increase your grant seeking success.

While grant professionals (or grant writers) are often happy and passionate about their work in the field of grants, those that are engaged in the grant process in a supporting role (those that are often referred to as grant team members), often feel less happiness and excitement about their work related to grants.

A key part of the Scrum framework is to measure team happiness at the end of each sprint. Whether the team is a grant team, a team of writers, a management team, or other cross-functional teams, consistently measuring team happiness will provide a leading indicator of issues that may decrease team velocity.

Having measured team happiness at the end of each two-week sprint for over a year, I was able to see specific trends within the team and also gain specific suggestions about how the team viewed their happiness and specific suggestions for improving their overall happiness. This practice also translates to client satisfaction measurement mechanisms.

In this interactive session, participants will learn:

- How to measure grant team happiness;
- How to analyze grant team happiness;

- How to measure grant team velocity; and
- How to analyze changes in grant team velocity.

These learning objectives will enable grant professionals to implement new tools and frameworks in their organizations that will increase their team's happiness and velocity, ultimately positively impacting their grant seeking success.
