How many times have you had to describe your organization’s target audience for proposals with very specific and current demographic data, statistics on poverty levels, housing, employment, educational attainment, single-parent households, non-English speakers?

Effective use of data can make for a compelling needs statement – which in turn, can help you secure that grant!

Don’t miss a very informative presentation by special guest Susana Privett, Data Dissemination Specialist with the United States Census Bureau.

Based in Dallas, Susana travels all over Texas and Oklahoma, working closely with organizations, local governments, businesses, government agencies, and other entities to provide a clear understanding of the Census Bureau as well as the data collected. In her presentation, Susana will demonstrate how you can easily extract Census Bureau data to provide a detailed, accurate, up-to-date picture of your target group or community to prospective funders.

Be sure to register early for this exceptional professional development opportunity – space will be limited!

Free for GPA members, $10 for non-members. No refunds after February 19, 2020.

Lunch will be available to order until MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2020 for
$12.50 (although attendees are also welcome to bring their own.) Water will be
provided, but otherwise, attendees should plan to bring their own drinks or
purchase drinks from the United Way vending machine.
