North Florida Chapter of GPA
Join us for our October chapter meeting! Our professional development topic will be: Data Science for Social Good: Building Capacity for Data-Driven Decision-Making
The data revolution is here! Along with this data revolution is an increasing emphasis by funding organizations on evidence-based practice and data-driven decision-making. Funding agencies on a greater scale are asking social good programs in the public and not-for-profit sector to demonstrate effectiveness of their programs using data-driven outcome measures.
In this hands-on workshop, we will discuss the changing landscape of data-driven practices and provide advice for those in the public and non-profit sectors on how to orient and develop data-driven decision-making practices in their organizations.
Presented by: Dan Richard PhD, Associate Professor at the University of North Florida and Co-Director of the Florida Data Science for Social Good program, and Karthikeyan Umapathy PhD, Associate Professor at the University of North Florida, School of Computing.
Free for Chapter Members; $10 for guests
