Ready to start on your professional development goal or resolution for 2019? Have you been thinking about becoming a Grant Professional Certified (GPC) grant professional or would like to know a bit more about this invaluable certification? We are excited to announce that Allison Boyd, President of Boyd Grants and the Board President of the Grant Professionals Certification Institute, will be providing information on how to achieve this important goal!
The session will provide individuals with the basic information needed to successfully prepare and apply for the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) exam. Attendees will learn about the requirements to apply for the exam, the content and format of the exam, where they can go to take the exam at a location close to their home, and how to main the credential every three years. A brief history will be presented as well as the difference between the GPC credential and other professional development opportunities. Information about the top 10 reasons the GPC benefits a grant professional's career, where to obtain study guides and scholarships that cover the exam fees will be shared with participants. This session will address the GPC competencies of adhering to nationally recognized standards of ethical practice by grant developers as well as practices and services that raise the level of professionalism of grant developers.
