GPA Grant News Seeks New Leadership
The GPA Publications Committee seeks to identify a new editor for the weekly GPA Grant News to provide editorial support to the authors, GPA staff, and committee. The GPA Publications Committee offers a chance for professional growth, and our work is both challenging and satisfying. If you have strong editorial skills and a desire to serve as a leader for this publication, please read the following descriptions:
The online GPA Grant News is published weekly for members of the Grant Professionals Association. The editor serves on the Publications Committee, works with GPA staff to develop the annual calendar of articles, works with authors, and GPA Staff liaison to facilitate the weekly e-newsletter. This volunteer position requires approximately 1-2 hours a week, with more intensive attention at times. In addition to editing experience, the editor must have excellent time-management, people management, and communication skills. Editing (of articles and the e-newsletter) is one of the responsibilities of this position, so knowledge of grammar and syntax is required.
