Starting with a general overview of what it means to serve on a board of directors of a non-profit and on to how serving on the board of a professional organization can set you up for success. We'll look at the responsibilities of a board member, board structure, and ways you can work your way into leadership through service. 
Once the base understanding of boards is established, we'll take attendees on a journey through the Grant Professionals Foundation and WIIFM? What's in it for you as a grant professional. Learn about how to access funding through the foundation and how to support its many initiatives, all while discovering ways to bring similar opportunities to your board.

Becky is the Marketing Communications Specialist at Opportunity Enterprises in Valparaiso, Indiana, an agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities. She has served non-profits in marketing, development, and grants for over 20 years from human services to arts to international to government. Becky holds an MBA from Valparaiso University and is the current president of the Grant Professionals Foundation. She is also the President of the Northwest Indiana Excellence in Theatre Fdn.
