Board Elections

The process to elect the 2019 GPA Board of Directors has begun!

There are four open positions on the Board that will be available on January 1, 2019. All four positions are for three-year terms that begin on January 1, 2019 and end on December 31, 2021.  Board Members whose terms are expiring: Karen Cassidy, Janeen Gaskins, Janell Harvey, and Sue Jetter. Janell and Sue are eligible to run for a second term.

June 19 - July 20, 2018 Nominations accepted
July 27, 2018 Nominees will be notified and asked to complete a Nomination Acceptance Questionnaire, attach any necessary documents, and indicate acceptance of the nomination. 
August 10, 2018 at  5:00 PM (CDT) Deadline for submitting the Nomination Acceptance Questionnaire and necessary documents.
August 13 - August 17, 2018 Nominating Committee will review information and determine which candidates have met the qualifications and will be included in the slate of candidates
August 20, 2018 All nominees will be notified of their status
August 20, 2018 A full list of Candidates will be presented to the GPA Board
August 21, 2018 A full list of Candidates will be presented to the GPA membership
August 28 & September 6, 2018 Meet the Candidates Webinars
August 28, 2018 Voting Opens via voting system, membership notified in email and on website
October 15, 2018 Voting Closes
 - Review of the Ballots and Voter Eligibility
 - Counting of all Votes
October 23, 2018 Announcement of election results will be made to the full membership via GPA's electronic mail platformin in the weekly newsletter. Candidates will be informed, confidentially in writing, the results of their candidacy prior to the public announcement
November 9, 20198 Announcement of election results and Oath of Office taken at the Annual Meeting
November 9, 2018 Motion to Destroy Ballots made at the Annual meeting.
November 12, 2018 Final date to submit written challenge of the election results. After November 12, 2018 if there are no outstanding challenges, the ballots will be permanently destroyed and no further challenge is allowed.
