GPA Board of Director's Criteria:
As outlined in Article 6 Nomination and Election of Directors, Section 4 of the GPA bylaws and the Board Assurances:
Must have been a member of the Association for a minimum of two (2) years prior to nomination and have paid dues during that time.
Should have demonstrated previous involvement in GPA (involvement is not limited to but can include: serving on a committee, presenting at a GPA conference, serving as a regional representative or chapter officer, or volunteering during a GPA conference); previous experience in leadership positions within nonprofit organizations is desirable.
Must remain a member in good standing if elected as a Director.
Shall abide by the Code of Ethics of the Association.
Will review the Letter of Assurances (attached to this document) indicating their willingness to abide by the Articles of Incorporation, the bylaws and all standing rules.
Shall work to advance GPA as the authority in the grant field.
Shall agree to allocate sufficient time to conduct committee work, prepare and attend Board meetings, and respond to others in a timely and professional manner.
