GPA Chapters: Where you belong

For over thirteen of GPA's nineteen-year history chapters have played an integral role in the recruitment and training of our members. GPA chapters meet multiple times each year and provide members with opportunities to enhance their skills through professional development, give members the chance to connect with other professionals in the area, and assist GPA in advancing the field of ethical grantsmanship on behalf of all our members and the community at large.

In the eight months since I was hired on as Chapter Relations Manager I have had the pleasure of witnessing just how much our chapters get accomplished.  Eight Regional Representatives and over 200 volunteers currently serve our 42 chapters (and growing) in leadership roles nationwide.

This year GPA chapters implemented more than a dozen regional or local conferences with over 800 attendees combined! These events, plus regular chapter meetings, are hosting nationally acclaimed speakers and planning workshop topics such as funder panels, evaluation methods, site visit preparation, effective writing, as well as representing GPA at exhibit booths across the country at professional events and conferences.  Chapters also serve as a source for scholarships for members to join GPA or to attend the national conference.

We appreciate all of our chapter volunteers for the hard work they put in each year to make these opportunities possible!
