Events & Volunteer Update - Winter 2019

First of all, thank you to all of you who volunteer with GPA. Our association continues to move forward because of you!

2019 is off to a great start on the volunteer front. By now, all committees and task forces should have met for the first time this year and updated their Work Plan in regards to their Strategic Plan Items. We welcome all our new committee/task force members and look forward to working with you in 2019.

I am in the middle of planning for National Volunteer week (April 8-12). The GPA staff wants to make sure you truly know how much we appreciate all of you for what you do to for us.

GPA Staff is also already busy working on the 2019 GPA Annual Conference. This year's conference will take place at the Washington Hilton, in Washington, DC, November 6-9. The Staff is working on pulling together the overall schedule and looking forward to reviewing the recommendations for the breakout sessions from the Professional Growth & Development Program Committee. We are also hard at work securing sponsors and exhibitors to enhance your experience as well. Registration for the conference as well as hotel reservations will open May 1. Be sure to keep an eye on your email for lots of exciting announcements!

After the success of our Chapter Leaders Training in April of 2018, we are excited to be hosting year two of the training on April 12 at the Hyatt Place Lenexa here in the Kansas City area. Information has been shared to all chapters regarding this event but if you have any questions, please reach out to myself or Shelley Wales, Chapter Relations Manager.

Should you have any questions regarding any of this or wish to volunteer with GPA, please don't hesitate to contact me at barb@grantprofessionals.org or 913-788-3000.

Thank you again for all you do for GPA!
